Icarus, the Flying Man -- plaque (Classic Male)

This wonderful image depicts the Icarus of Greek mythology before his wings fell apart when he approached the sun too closely and the wax holding together his feathers melted and he plummeted to the earth. The story tells us that we should not venture to emulate the gods too closely, lest they plunge us to our deaths for our hubris. The sculpture has holes for wall-hanging and pads for display on a level surface. It is 11 inches wide, one inch deep and 11 inches high. It is really beautiful and weighs one pound.
