St. John the Baptist in the Wilderness (painting male)

St John in the Wilderness (Bacchus) 1510-15 Oil on panel transferred to canvas, Musée du Louvre, Paris. Leonardo left Italy for France in 1516. He did little artistic work in the last decade of his life, the last paintings from his hand generally being accepted are two pictures of St John, this one later converted into a Bacchus, both in the Louvre.
