Nude Study Number Two by Michelangelo (classic print)
This is one of the sketches for the works of the Frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. It was drawn in chalk in either 1510 or 1511. It currently is displayed in the Musee de Poitiers, Poitiers, France. Michelangelo Buonarroti, who died in Rome in 1564 at the age of 89 years, was commissioned by Pope Julius II della Rovere in 1508 to repaint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
